2) What this policy covers

This policy applies to the App on iOS/iPadOS (and visionOS if applicable). It describes how the App handles your data on-device and in iCloud (CloudKit), and how notifications work if you opt in.

Payments: The App does not offer in-app purchases and does not accept donations.

3) Data we process

A. Data you create in the App (User Content)

Examples: reading progress, memorized ayahs, highlights, notes, tags, comments, filters, and daily reading stats.

• Where it’s stored: on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud (CloudKit) database associated with your Apple ID.
• Who can access it: by design, we do not have access to your private CloudKit database contents. Apple hosts and secures iCloud data. Your content isn’t shared with us unless you explicitly send it to us (e.g., via email) or you opt into a feature that exposes it.

B. Notifications

If you opt in, we use local notifications (e.g., daily reading reminders). You can change this anytime in Settings → Notifications → Kurani — Quran Reader.
